Atlanta's ATV Problems

I wanted to share my response to a "neighbor" on the NextDoor app. I have hidden her name so as to protect her identity. Yeah, it's that bad.

 I need to just explain why your racism is showing despite your token lover who passes. I will use your words exactly, so there is no confusion:

YOU STATED:

Newsflash: there are many laws that are unfair for example...there are tons of fathers (and mothers) who go to jail often on a daily basis for not being able to pay their child support.

I work in the legal system and a quick check of the local court records shows that you simply don't know what you are talking about. In Georgia and almost every state, there is a City Department dedicated to situations where child support is a problem. It takes a significant demonstration of malice and literal proof of intent to refuse payment for someone to be arrested, tried, and put in jail for failure to pay. In fact, all you have to do is attempt to make arrangements, or call the court before your court date and you are given a second, third, or fourth chance. The reason I am not worried about this one peculiar misconception you have is that there are already agencies and arbitrators who go to great lengths to keep these folks out of jail. If we had the same level of consideration for ATV riders, I would be more than happy.

And there are tons of mothers out there that can have multiple children by multiple men and get REWARDED in child support payments or welfare. 

This is a common racist theme that is completely unfounded at best and at worst conflates a problem that is worsened by this new ATV policy. Let's start with how much money goes to these unfit mothers (and though you didn't say "black", this has been a stereotype directed at black women for years.:

And the irony of your point here is that incarcerating black men at the rate we do is exactly what has caused the destruction of black families:

Who's tax dollars pay for both scenarios?? YOURS and mine. 

Another irony of your misinformation is the fact that every person we put in jail costs us about 22,000/year. No welfare mother is getting that much because of the caps I linked to above. It is cheaper to pay for welfare than it is to put men in jail.

So if you want to focus on something of IMPORTANCE - take a look around as there are MUCH better issues to resolve rather than "building an ATV park" to "help" these grown men. REALLY? 

Cassandra, why on earth do you care what I choose to focus on? You can't even see that my concern is bigger than helping out these grown men. If I am right, I'm going to be helping you out by eliminating the hassle you face when these guys break laws and get in your face. But don't worry, if my solution works, you can thank me then. If not, you will at least have something realistic to be hateful about.

This is the best one yet. You know of course that the entire crack-baby epidemic was a hoax perpetrated by racists and based on terrible data that tried to predict the future epidemic that never happened, right?

Because as much as you want us to believe that you are the person the hospital calls when some cracked out black chick rides up on her ATV to toss a baby at the hospital with a needle sticking out its arm, the truth is that you are just propagating a lie that has been debunked a long long time ago.

So yeah, lack of oxygen from high up on my balcony where I have witnessed these ass hats on more than one occasion. 

Thank you for confirming that you have never been hurt by these "asshats" or actually even inconvenienced.Rather you have been entertained from the safety of your balcony and that informs your decision to throw them away. Brilliant.

BUT WAIT:

Hey, I know another OPTION for you....let's take care of murderers. How about you build a shooting range so they can NOT shoot people? 

Did you seriously just equate the actions of a few "asshats" with that of murderers? That is not only hateful and shocking but seriously, that's over the top.

And interestingly enough...I don't hear the ATV gang tonight and usually about this time I do....hm. Maybe those harsher penalties are doing the trick??!

Great, then I guess you can unclench your fists and go back to worrying about whether or not someone is going to find out that your lesbian lover is not white or about whether these welfare mothers are living better than you on your dime since the ATV Problem was solved.



And especially considering that absolutely no kids are interested in ATVs. I mean it's not like they are going to grow up resentful and perhaps take it out on stuffy white lesbians who were happy to see their daddy go to jail.
